Minotron 2112

Hi GIles,
I've been here before with another title, Space Giraffe PC which got sorted and now here as finally bought an i-phone.
Expensive buggers but got a second hand one and first app to download was Minotron :D

Downloaded successfully in iTunes but on syncing an error :(
Apparently my iPhone 3g is not compatible.

Knowing little about this device I reset phone to factory and it also ran an update.
Started to sync and again was greeted with this phone not compatible.. boohoo.. why not ?

Any info appreciated,

As explained many times as the whole system uses shaders is based around OpenGLES 2.0, it needs at least that to run.

Unforunately the 3GS was still based around OpenGL 1.x or sorta that is very limited compared to 2.0 and, worst of all, does not allow shaders :(

OpenGL 1.x is very limited plus has the incredible PITA of the 'fixed pipeline', it's a real shame they did not use the better chip since start.
